2008 toyota Rav4 Sport

2008 Toyota Rav4 Sport: Currently in the 3rd version year of its full redesign, the Toyota RAV4 receives just trim modifications for 2008. The 3rd row of seats on the Limited has been discontinued, although that is no terrific loss, as they were exceptionally confined.

2008 Toyota Rav4 Sport

The RAV4 is offered with two engines, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder mated to a four-speed automatic, as well as a 3.5-litre V6 with a five-speed transmission.

A variation with front-wheel drive is sold in the U.S., but all Canadian designs utilize Toyota's "Energetic Torque Control" 4x4 system, which allows the vehicle to change constantly and seamlessly in between front- and also four-wheel modes. A hands-on locking switch allows an optimum torque split of 55/45 between the front as well as back wheels, under speeds of 40 km/h. All designs feature car security control and also traction control, while V6 models include hill-start and downhill help control.

With the addition of the new four-cylinder Sport trim line, both engines can be found in Base, Sporting activity or Limited configuration.

Attributes on the Base models consist of 17-inch steel wheels, a/c, CD/MP3 stereo with auxillary jack, fabric seats, 60/40 folding and also reclining back seats, power locks with keyless entrance, power home windows, tilt and telescopic wheel, flooring mats, cruise control, warmed mirrors, roof covering shelf, privacy cover, soft tire cover, variable recurring wipers with deicer, and recurring rear washer/wiper.

The Sporting activity versions include 18-inch alloy wheels, premium towel seats, cargo web, privacy glass, power sunroof, colour-keyed fender flares, black headlamp border as well as fog lights.

The Restricted versions include 17-inch alloy wheels, six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxilliary jack, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped wheel, footwell lights, and molded tire cover.

Now offering similar appointments with both engines, the RAV4 can be somewhat underpowered in its four-cylinder configuration; the V6 is a better choice, and not that much of a step up in rate. The 60/40 back seat folds entirely to develop a flat baggage space, without having to turn seat paddings or eliminate head restraints, making it simple to convert to cargo stowage. In 2008, manufacturing is expected to relocate from Japan to a new place in Woodstock, Ontario.
