To safely jump a start, follow these actions:
1. Take out your jumper cables: It's a smart idea to get a set of jumper cables and keep them in the trunk compartment. If you do not have jumper cables, you need to locate a do-gooder who not only wants to aid you yet who has jumper cables also.
2. Area both cars in Park or Neutral as well as shut off the ignition in both cars:
