2008 Toyota Rav4: Now in the third version year of its total redesign, the Toyota RAV4 obtains only trim modifications for 2008. The third row of seats on the Limited has been stopped, although that is no great loss, as they were exceptionally confined.

2008 Toyota Rav4

The RAV4 is offered with two engines, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder mated to a four-speed automatic, and a 3.5-litre V6 with a five-speed automatic transmission.

A variation with front-wheel drive is offered in the United States, but all Canadian versions use Toyota's "Energetic Torque Control" four-wheel drive system, which permits the lorry to change constantly as well as effortlessly in between front- and also four-wheel settings. A hands-on securing button enables an optimum torque split of 55/45 between the front and back wheels, under rates of 40 km/h. All models have vehicle security control as well as grip control, while V6 designs add hill-start and also downhill help control.

With the addition of the new four-cylinder Sporting activity trim line, both engines come in Base, Sporting activity or Limited setup.

Functions on the Base models include 17-inch steel wheels, a/c, CD/MP3 stereo with auxillary jack, textile seats, 60/40 folding and reclining back seats, power locks with keyless entrance, power windows, tilt as well as telescopic wheel, floor mats, cruise ship control, warmed mirrors, roofing system shelf, personal privacy cover, soft tire cover, variable recurring wipers with deicer, as well as periodic rear washer/wiper.

The Sport models add 18-inch alloy wheels, premium towel seats, freight web, personal privacy glass, power sunroof, colour-keyed fender flares, black headlamp border and also fog lights.

The Minimal models include 17-inch alloy wheels, six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxilliary jack, dual-zone automated environment control, leather-wrapped wheel, footwell lamps, and moulded tire cover.

Currently using similar visits with both engines, the RAV4 can be somewhat underpowered in its four-cylinder configuration; the V6 is a better selection, as well as not that much of a step up in price. The 60/40 rear seat folds up completely to produce a level luggage room, without needing to flip seat pillows or remove head restrictions, making it very easy to transform to cargo stowage. In 2008, manufacturing is expected to relocate from Japan to a new place in Woodstock, Ontario.
